Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Junior Quantity and Progress Tracking Project Controls Professional to support site-based assignments across the U.S., starting in Spartanburg, SC or Baton Rouge, LA. You will manage a project quantity database, track progress, and help ensure accurate earned quantities and payments.

The role partners with construction teams and vendors, uses Power BI dashboards, and applies EVM principles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project controls or related field.
• Experience tracking and reporting installed quantities and progress on large projects.
• Working knowledge of construction sequencing and field execution practices.
• Experience validating contractor progress and progress payments.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the project quantity database.
• Track quantity growth, scope changes, and trends throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish progress measurement procedures and weighting methodologies.
• Define measurable progress quantities and percent-complete criteria for Construction.
• Collect, validate, and track installed quantities to measure progress.
• Review contractor-reported progress against field conditions and quantities.
• Conduct or support field walkdowns to validate progress and installed work.
• Calculate earned quantities, earned progress, and percent complete for reporting.
• Monitor and report planned vs. actual quantities and productivity trends.
• Track completed quantities against contractor invoices and progress payments.
• Maintain progress reporting tools, databases, and Power BI dashboards.
