Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. You will assist in budgeting, scheduling, forecasting and reporting to help projects stay on track and on budget.

You will collaborate with project managers and engineers, gather progress data and create time-phased cost analyses to support decision making. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and familiarity with project controls concepts.

Qualifications

• Entry level knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers project progress information to update project budgets and schedules.
• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Performs routine analyses and may prepare routine financial reports.
• Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
