Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of procurement, acquisition support, administrative, business operations, or related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor shared procurement mailboxes, triage incoming requests, and route them to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain procurement trackers, spreadsheets, renewal calendars, status reports, and other tracking tools.
  • Track procurement deadlines, renewal dates, deliverables, approvals, and action items.
  • Assist with preparation and routing of procurement requests and supporting documentation.
  • Draft routine procurement correspondence, follow-up emails, and internal communications.
  • Follow up with internal stakeholders and vendors to obtain required information and quotes.
  • Support procurement data calls, reporting requirements, and procurement metrics.
  • Maintain organized electronic procurement files and documentation repositories.
  • Assist with PO, invoice, and procurement record tracking.
  • Support process documentation and continuous improvement activities.

Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Junior Procurement Specialist (Procurement, Junior Analyst) to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, SC location. As a member of the procurement team, the Procurement Junior Analyst will provide administrative and operational support for day-to-day procurement activities, helping ensure requests, renewals, documentation, and communications are tracked and completed in a timely manner.


This role will support procurement tracking, shared mailbox management, reporting, purchase request coordination, and stakeholder follow-up, enabling senior procurement staff to focus on complex procurement actions and acquisition strategy.


This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.



Responsibilities


  • Monitor shared procurement mailboxes, triage incoming requests, and ensure requests are routed to the appropriate team member.

  • Maintain procurement trackers, spreadsheets, renewal calendars, status reports, and other tracking tools.

  • Track procurement deadlines, renewal dates, deliverables, approvals, and outstanding action items.

  • Assist with the preparation and routing of procurement requests and supporting documentation.

  • Draft routine procurement correspondence, follow-up emails, and internal communications.

  • Follow up with internal stakeholders and vendors to obtain required information, quotes, documentation, and status updates.

  • Support recurring data calls, reporting requirements, and preparation of procurement metrics.

  • Maintain organized electronic procurement files and documentation repositories.

  • Assist with purchase order, invoice, and procurement record tracking.

  • Support process documentation and continuous improvement activities.

  • Provide additional administrative and operational support to the procurement team as needed.

Required Qualifications


  • 0-3 years of procurement, acquisition support, administrative, business operations, or related experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-up actions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and procurement team members.



Desired Qualifications


  • Experience supporting procurement or contract-related activities

  • Familiarity with IT software, hardware, or the software development lifecycle



Education

BA/BS in Supply Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field



Clearance

Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

For this position, the projected compensation range is $75,000 - $85,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
