Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Two-year degree with at least one year of engineering support experience.
• Entry level position with basic knowledge of manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, steel making processes, material flow and quality systems.
• Ability to operate a computer workstation and appropriate software/hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in the upgrade, rebuild, installation and start-up of process equipment.
• Support implementation of solutions to equipment safety issues.
• Interact with contractors, equipment vendors, and supply vendors for projects.
• Develop and follow standards, specifications and procedures for production, technical, safety and environmental activities.
• Contribute to OEE improvement activities.
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
