Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking entry-level Process Engineers for the Fab 8 team to support equipment and process improvements. You will join the Engineering organization with responsibilities including transfer, SOP development, training, ramp-up, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Chemical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA, internship experience, and strong communication skills, plus an interest in leveraging AI tools to boost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong academic record and related internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support process transfer, equipment planning, configuration, installation, startup, and volume ramp for the relevant process.
• Establish and document the process engineering SOPs necessary to run tools in production.
• Create training materials and provide training for shift technicians.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders and equipment suppliers to support ramp-up plans.
• Collaborate with Process Integration, Manufacturing, Technology Development, and vendors/suppliers.
• Support daily sustaining activities, performance tracking, equipment matching, and continuous improvement after ramp.
• Apply SPC, structured problem-solving, and FMEA methods.
