Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking an entry-level Process Engineer to support and improve semiconductor equipment and processes. You'll join the Engineering organization with responsibilities spanning transfer, ramp, and SOP development.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least a 3.0 GPA, English fluency, and a demonstrated interest in applying AI tools to boost productivity and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering field with at least a 3.0 GPA.
• English language fluency in writing and speaking.
• Interest in AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Support process transfer, equipment planning, selection and startup for the relevant process.
• Document process engineering SOPs to run tools in production.
• Create training materials and train shift technicians.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to support ramp-up.
• Support daily sustaining activities, performance tracking and improvements.
• Apply SPC, problem-solving skills and FMEA methods.
• Ensure safety and EH&S compliance.
