Job summary

Phillips 66 in Roxana, IL is seeking a Process Engineer I to provide process technical expertise aimed at safety, reliability and profitability of refinery units. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, optimization and technical services to develop sound strategies for improvements and sustainability.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 1+ year experience, willingness to obtain TWIC, travel up to 5%, and flexibility for extended hours.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 1+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Willing and able to obtain TWIC
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Travel up to 5%
• Operate company vehicle on site premises and/or public roads up to 5%
• Work extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Transport articles up to 50 pounds
• Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet
• Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines, around chemicals and hydrocarbons
• Wear fire retardant clothing and PPE
• Maintain face daily for proper respirator/face mask seal(some facial hair considerations)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to implementation and optimization of industrial processes for safe, reliable operations.
• Analyze data, specify process steps, and develop engineering solutions meeting cost, quality and regulatory standards.
• Support technical troubleshooting, participate in research activities, and create engineering drawings for communication and validation.
• Draft and evaluate engineering standards, contribute to project management and design test procedures.
