Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Junior Process Engineer in Toledo, OH to support local clients and virtually assist teams elsewhere. You’ll develop PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, and equipment specifications from inception through construction, with ongoing support through commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor in Engineering, 4+ years of experience, and familiarity with food/beverage GMPs. Expect travel up to 30% and collaboration across disciplines to deliver quality, on-time projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering qualifies for licensure where practice occurs.
• 4+ years of working experience required.
• Exposure to food, beverage GMP plants and related industrial settings preferred.
• Experience with Pipe Flo or AFT Fathom is a plus.
• Ability to work in a client-facing role with contractors and vendors.
• Experience with building codes, GMP requirements, and sanitary design.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering studies, write reports, and develop engineering calculations.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specifications, and procurement.
• Assist in development of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to complete project tasks.
• Support design and specification of CIP and sanitary systems.
• Travel up to 30% for field verification and start-up support.
