Job summary

RTX seeks an enthusiastic Power Electronics Engineer (P1) in El Segundo to join a multidisciplinary team. You will help design, develop, test, and integrate power conversion hardware for airborne and space systems, starting with hands-on development under mentorship.

This entry‑level role emphasizes learning through practical engineering, collaboration with systems, digital design, and mechanical/thermal teams, and applying SiC/GaN devices as directed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Internship, co-op, project team, or academic lab experience related to power electronics, circuit design, or testing.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of power conversion circuits (AC/DC, DC/DC, motor drives).
• Create and update schematics; assist with PCB layout reviews.
• Perform basic simulations (SPICE, LTspice) and basic analysis tasks.
• Assist with magnetics development and component evaluation.
• Support EMI/EMC design and test activities; basic data collection.
