Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an entry-level Power Electronics Engineer to help bring X-BAT’s next-generation power systems to first flight. You will own a meaningful project tied to our power architecture critical path, receiving direct mentorship from senior power and electrical engineers.

You will contribute to the full hardware lifecycle, from concept to flight test, designing and analyzing low- and high-voltage systems, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure robust integration and

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in circuits, electronics and power systems.
• Hands-on experience with power electronics such as converters, motor drivers, batteries or high-power systems.
• Ability to obtain a S//SAR security clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own a power electronics design impacting system performance and flight milestones.
• Contribute to full hardware lifecycle: concept, modeling, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, bring-up, verification, and flight test support.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Embedded, Software, Production, and Aircraft teams for robust system integration.
• Drive disciplined engineering practices including documentation, risk reduction and closure of analysis-to-test feedback.
