A leading engineering team in Miami is looking for a Junior Plumbing Designer. Contract : Permanent / Direct Hire
Salary : $75,000 – $90,000 (DOE)
About the Role We’re looking for a Junior Plumbing Designer to join a growing engineering team in Miami, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational experience in plumbing design who is eager to develop their technical skills and grow within a collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Revit and basic plumbing layout experience, and will work closely with senior engineers on a range of residential and commercial projects.
What You’ll Do
Support in the drafting and layout of plumbing systems using Revit and AutoCAD under the direction of senior designers.
Assist with equipment selection, fixture layouts, and basic pipe sizing for cold / hot water and sanitary systems.
Help prepare construction documents, specifications, and submission packages for permitting.
Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure plumbing systems are properly integrated.
Participate in site visits and support with field mark-ups, documentation, and revisions.
Stay informed on plumbing code basics (IPC / UPC) and implement compliance into project work.
What We’re Looking For
Proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD (required).
Familiarity with residential and / or light commercial plumbing systems.
Basic understanding of local plumbing codes and design principles.
An associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting or mechanical systems (preferred).
Strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative mindset.
