Job summary

LM Manufacturing in Detroit seeks a JR Controls Engineer to assist with design, development and testing of PLC-based control systems. You will lead teams by applying the 5 C’s and by driving improvements in electrical and automation processes.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLC issues, producing documentation, performing startup tests, and collaborating across departments to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Control Tech preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with electrical control system design.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development and installation of new PLC-based control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues in production.
• Produce and update technical documents and schematics.
• Conduct machine functionality and fault-recovery testing and start-up activities.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and maintain safety standards.
