Job summary

Expo is seeking an early-career software engineer to help build and operate the backend infrastructure for EAS, the services developers rely on. You will work on deploy paths, CI, preview environments, and tooling that improves how we ship features to developers and end users.

You will grow through hands-on work with containers, Kubernetes deployments, and cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure), learning to write robust services and contribute to on-call reliability while expanding your

Qualifications

Experience with containers, CI pipelines, and building small services.
You've built something real end-to-end: a service or pipeline used by others.
Comfortable with continuous integration at scale and deploying to Kubernetes.
Cloud experience with Google Cloud; AWS/Azure also valuable.

Responsibilities

Join EAS’s infrastructure team as an early-career engineer and learn from a senior engineer.
Design, build, and operate the backend infrastructure behind our developer-facing services, including deploy path, CI, and preview environments.
Build internal improvements to ship services faster, cut CI time and cost, and improve Expo.
Write software that runs reliably and perform well, owning uptime and performance.
Own the code you write: add tests, monitoring, and participate in on-call rotation.
