Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an entry‑level Lab Technician to support the Quality Control team in a plastic manufacturing environment. You will inspect raw materials, in‑process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.

You will read basic drawings or blueprints, record inspection results, and assist in first article, in‑process, and final inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, quality inspection, or a related field.
• Hands‑on assembly experience required.
• Basic understanding of drawings, blueprints, or manufacturing work instructions required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and quality record‑keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to learn quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and basic testing of plastic components and finished products.
• Verify product dimensions and specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, rulers, and gauges.
• Read and interpret basic drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to confirm product requirements.
• Record inspection results, test data, and quality documentation accurately.
• Identify defects, nonconforming materials, or quality concerns and communicate findings to Quality and Production teams.
• Assist in first article, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured plastic products.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the QC lab and inspection area.
• Ensure testing and inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing policies.
