Job summary

Burnett Specialists in Dallas, TX seeks a Junior Plaintiff-Side Litigation Attorney to handle substantial responsibility and courtroom exposure. The role spans from client contact and claim evaluation to pre-litigation, litigation, settlement, and trial, with a collaborative, family-oriented environment.

The position offers a base salary of $83,000 annually, health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and no billable-hour requirement at this time. 100% in-office, start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience in plaintiff-side litigation preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential breach-of-warranty and Texas DTPA claims by reviewing documents and records.
• Directly interview prospective clients to assess claims and explain the legal process.
• Manage matters from initial evaluation through pre-litigation, litigation, mediation, settlement, and trial.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
• Keep case files accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
• Participate in attorney and case-strategy meetings.
• Track case activity, results, and client-service metrics.
