The Eames Institute in Richmond, CA is seeking a Junior Photographer to join the photography team and support Collections, Creative & Communications, and Experiences. You will manage 2D reproductions, post-production, filing, and occasional event coverage under the guidance of the Senior Photographer.

Safety, care of artifacts, and consistent imaging across channels are essential, with opportunities to grow across objects, materials, and environments.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in studio photography, including lighting, composition, and high-resolution capture.
• Proficiency with Capture One and Photoshop.
• Experience handling collection artifacts and delicate materials.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Portfolio demonstrating product photography and digital processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Photographer in photography production and post-production.
• Support photography workflows and timelines for all projects.
• Create 2D photography (reproductions and lay downs) of EI Collections materials.
• Adhere to established standards for lighting, equipment usage, and consistent object angles.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to deliver assets.
• Cover events and promotional photography as needed.
