Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a motivated Junior Level Phase I Environmental Site Assessor to support ASTM Phase I ESAs for commercial and industrial properties. You will assist in due diligence, regulatory reviews, and health and safety reviews under supervision. Travel to sites may be up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of ASTM Phase I ESA standards and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with the latest ASTM standards.
• Review historical and regulatory records, aerial photographs, land use records, and other resources to identify potential environmental conditions.
• Perform on-site inspections of properties and identify visible evidence of contamination or environmental concerns.
• Collect, analyze, and organize data to prepare written ESA reports and findings.
• Assist in determining if further investigation or remediation is necessary based on Phase I ESA findings.
• Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to clarify assessment details.
• Maintain awareness of current ASTM standards and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with deal teams to facilitate transactional due diligence projects.
• Track tasks and coordinate with staff to develop skills toward ASTM EP designation.
• Take ownership to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
