Petco seeks a Junior Pet Stylist in Grooming to start a career in pet grooming. You will learn bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and more under experienced groomers during a ten-week training program.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience is preferred.
• High-school diploma or GED is preferred, though not required.
• Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue a career in pet grooming.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming practices.
• Capable of handling pets of all sizes with care and empathy.
• Effective verbal and written communication with pet parents and team.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform limited grooming services (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing) per instructions.
• Ensure animal well-being and safety in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain accurate records.
• Learn and follow Petco grooming policies and standards.
