Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist for its Grooming Career path. You will begin with a ten-week training in bathing, drying, and nails, guided by experienced groomers. The role emphasizes safe, compassionate care and customer service within a grooming salon.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience, volunteering or grooming assistant preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue grooming as a career.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds and grooming practices.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming: bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear and gland cleaning.
• Ensure safety and well being of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Interact with pet parents, provide courteous customer service and address inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area and equipment; perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Schedule appointments, manage paperwork, and maintain grooming records.
• Learn and follow Petco grooming policies and standards for safety and quality.
