Petco is hiring a Junior Pet Stylist in Grooming to begin with a ten-week training program. You will learn bathing, drying, nail trimming, and other basics under seasoned groomers while earning a competitive base pay and gaining hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of animal related experience (volunteering or grooming salon assistance preferred).
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and pursuing a career in grooming.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds and common grooming practices.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning as instructed by groomers.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment; perform cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Schedule grooming appointments, manage paperwork, and maintain grooming records.
• Learn and adhere to Petco's grooming policies, standards, and guidelines.
