Job summary

Citi is seeking an entry-level Personal Banker to support sales, service, and relationship-building with consumer clients. You will assist in processing banking requests, cross-sell products, and work with the customer service team to foster loyalty.

The role emphasizes handling transactions, educating clients on digital channels, and providing excellent service while following Citi policy and risk guidelines. A Bachelor’s degree is required and the position is based in Brooklyn, NY.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies.
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with credit requests under $250K and refer larger opportunities.
• Build referral business through COIs and MGM Program.
• Assist in growing the small business client and implement sales plans.
• Deliver client services via outbound/inbound calls to acquire and deepen relationships.
• Provide coaching to Tell ers and branch staff on products and referrals.
• Educate clients on service and digital channels and present product offers.
• Understand and comply with Citibank policies, standards and procedures.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
