Job summary

Digital Global Connectors (DGC) seeks a Junior Palo Alto Integration Technician to support enterprise security infrastructure in a Federal IT environment, on-site in the Washington, DC area. The role centers on monitoring, administration, and day-to-day operation of Palo Alto platforms within a regulated federal context.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, IT operations, firewall administration, or related technical discipline.
• Foundational understanding of network security concepts and enterprise networking basics.
• Ability to document activities clearly and follow established technical procedures.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain government background investigations and security clearances.
• Must reside within commuting distance of Washington, DC/Northern Virginia and be on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Palo Alto Networks NGFW, Panorama, Prisma Access, and Cortex XDR platforms.
• Assist with firewall rule changes, security profile updates, and configuration modifications.
• Perform configuration backups, exports, log archival, and routine platform maintenance.
• Support administrative account provisioning and certificate renewal activities.
• Monitor platform health indicators and assist with issue escalation.
• Collect logs and support investigation by senior analysts.
• Generate routine health and operational status reports.
• Maintain change-management documentation and runbooks.
