Job summary

Nisqually Red Wind Casino is looking for an entry-level painter helper to learn painting on residential and commercial construction projects within the Nisqually Tribal Community. You will assist the Journeyman Painter and perform general labor tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and willingness to travel to Nisqually properties. Training, safety rules, and teamwork are emphasized to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years experience as a painter or construction laborer preferred.
• Experience with ladders, scaffolding and painting tools is required.
• Willingness to work on Nisqually Indian Tribe properties, including travel if needed.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid Washington State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow established safety rules and keep a clean, safe workspace.
• Take direction from Journeyman Painter on painting processes, drywall repair, and labor tasks.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding; work at heights two stories and higher.
• Complete tasks with high attention to detail.
• Assist in maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory in good condition.
• Participate in training sessions and department meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
