Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years experience as a painter or construction laborer preferred.
  • Experience with ladders, scaffolding and painting tools is required.
  • Willingness to work on Nisqually Indian Tribe properties, including travel if needed.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and follow established safety rules and keep a clean, safe workspace.
  • Take direction from Journeyman Painter on painting processes, drywall repair, and labor tasks.
  • Climb ladders and scaffolding; work at heights two stories and higher.
  • Complete tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Assist in maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory in good condition.
  • Participate in training sessions and department meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
