Company: RAM International Shipping Website: www.ram-shipping.com Location: 235 Fairfield Ave, West Caldwell, NJ 07006 Position: Junior Ocean Freight Coordinator (Import/Export) Employment Type: 2-year Contract, Full-time (8 AM - 5 PM) Salary: $20-23/hour (based on experience) About Us: RAM International Shipping is an aggressively growing logistics company specializing in ocean freight forwarding, dedicated to providing comprehensive import and export logistics solutions. Role Summary: The Junior Ocean Freight Coordinator will assist in managing import and export shipments via ocean freight, including customs clearance, carrier booking, cargo tracking, and ensuring timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing ocean import/export operations. Coordinate communication with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies. Track cargo and update shipment statuses. Prepare and handle documentation including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs paperwork. Assist with NVOCC filings and obtaining permits for Dangerous Goods (DG). Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws. Provide excellent customer service, managing inquiries and relationships. Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding. Preferably certified in Dangerous Goods (DG); experience with military shipments is a plus. Knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian languages preferred. Proficiency in English (verbal and written). Personal Qualities: Ambitious, detail-oriented, and process-driven. Strong organizational skills.
