Job summary

Presbyterian Hospitality House in Fairbanks, Alaska is seeking a Jr. Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Department. The role includes supporting payroll entries, receipts, deposits, expenses, allocations, vendor payments, and routine nonprofit accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist payroll entries, receipts, deposits, expenses and allocations.
• Process vendor payments and credit card documentation.
• Support program-related claims and reviews for nonprofit compliance.
• Maintain petty cash and rental payments records.
• Perform routine finance functions and ensure proper coding and reconciliation.
