Job summary

DCS Corp is seeking a Junior Developer to join its teams developing Air Force and Navy next-generation mission planning software on an Agile/SAFe team. This position can be performed 100% remote within Eastern Standard or Central Standard time zones.

Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, U.S. citizenship, and Interim Secret Clearance on day one, plus experience with Java or C#/ASP.NET Core and web technologies such as React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node, HTML5, and CSS.

Responsibilities

Salary: $60,467 - $85,000

DCS is seeking a Junior Developer to join its teams developing exciting and modern Air Force and Navy next-generation mission planning software on an Agile/SAFe team. This position can be performed 100% remote within Eastern Standard or Central Standard time zones.

Essential Job Functions:

• Contributeto software development as part of a team contributing to a multi-team, multi-organization enterprise using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Take ownership of and responsibility for software products being developed.
• Gain domain knowledge and contribute to providing technical guidance to software and test engineers.
• Represent the team in meetings and presentations as needed, including providing technical analysis & recommendations, and the development & presentation of meeting materials.
• Work with other senior engineers and architects to relentlessly improve software developed.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior software engineers.
• Have a willingness to collaborate with other development teams, customers and users to produce the desired product that strives to exceed customer expectations..

Required Skills:

• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Interim Secret Clearance required on day one.
• Experience with Service Design and Development using either Java or C#/ASP.NET Core and/or Web Application Design and Development using the following: React, Jest, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node, NPM, HTML5, CSS.
• Ability to work with a geographically-distributed team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

• Active Security Clearance is preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes/Helm.
• Experience with RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge and familiarity with Git.
• Knowledge and familiarity with any of the following: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Jenkins, Rancher, SonarQube
• Experience with Web Application Design and Development using the following: React, Jest, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node, NPM, HTML5, CSS.
• Experience with Postgres/SQL Database.
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Microservice architectures.
• Experience with Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), any SAFe certification is a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding of mission planning needs of military aviators.
