Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Cisco infrastructure and data center environments.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN/WLAN, DNS, subnetting, and routing/switching.
• Exposure to SD-WAN, VoIP, virtualization, Microsoft 365 and Azure is a plus.
• CCNA certification or actively pursuing it.
• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer network, server, storage, and data center environments.
• Handle 2nd line support for incidents and changes with escalation paths.
• Monitor performance and capacity, and help forecast infrastructure needs.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and configuration standards.
• Participate in IT projects including upgrades and rollouts.
• Support network hardware, servers, data storage, and workstations.
• Maintain backup systems.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.

Motion Recruitment is partnering with a well-established organization in Phoenix to hire a Network Systems Engineer for their in-house IT team. This is a hands-on role in a Cisco environment with exposure across network, server, storage, and data center infrastructure. It's a great fit for someone who wants broad experience rather than being boxed into a single lane.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, and administer network, server, storage, and data center environments

• Monitor performance and capacity, and help forecast infrastructure needs

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience in a Cisco infrastructure environment
• Solid grasp of LAN, WAN, WLAN, DNS, subnetting, routing, and switching

• CCNA certification, or actively working toward it
• Technical degree, bachelor's, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong documentation habits and clear communication

• Comfortable with hands-on physical work, including racking equipment and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
