Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education and related work experience.
• Two years experience in computer based applications (Microsoft, etc).
• One year experience in a customer service environment.
• Ability to pass Security Clearance with APSIN and NCIC within 60 days of hire.
• Valid Drivers License from the state the individual is currently residing in and able to obtain an Alaska Driver's License within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Borough employees with data processing inquiries.
• Assist Borough employees with computer diagnostics, investigation of problems, and provision of technical assistance and support.
• Assist in the maintenance of inventory for all LAN/WAN supplies.
• Assist with system backup operations.
• Schedule system repairs
• Basic install, and repairs to computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Referral of major hardware or software problems to engineers or technicians for assistance.
• Maintenance of records regarding daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities conducted.
• Travel to outlying villages as required
• Perform other duties as assigned.
