Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking an Application Developer to join the IT Gas and CO2 Systems team. You will develop and support custom and commercial solutions for pipelines and terminals, applying .NET and SQL Server skills within a mature IT framework.

You will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, create technical artifacts, and contribute to project delivery across the full software lifecycle in a large energy infrastructure company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS or similar preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft technologies in application development.
• Extensive experience with T-SQL to write and maintain complex business solutions.
• Proficiency in .NET stack (C#/VB.NET/ASP.NET/MVC) and SQL Server data management.
• 3+ years designing, developing, and implementing C#/.NET and SQL Server solutions.
• Experience across project lifecycle: design, development, testing, migrations, implementations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with prioritization and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Convert business specs into functional and technical design documents.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to design and develop solutions and tools.
• Develop, support, and integrate applications per standards and best practices.
• Adhere to Waterfall and AGILE lifecycle and project management principles.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and applications.
• Document technical capabilities and requirements for systems.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Troubleshoot interface software and debug application code.
