Job summary

The Ronny Golf Park in Frisco, TX is seeking a passionate Junior Golf Coach to lead instruction and develop programming for players aged 3–14. You will create engaging lessons, deliver group and one-on-one coaching, and help grow the park's junior golf offerings.

This role is based on the PGA Frisco campus, requires evening and weekend hours, weather permitting, and a focus on safety, fun, and learning. A background check and training will be completed, with opportunities to build industry

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in coaching or teaching golf, particularly to junior audiences.
  • Knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, and etiquette.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with children.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug test, and job-specific training.
  • Must be available to work 2+ weekdays (Monday–Friday) between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. each week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging golf instruction to junior golfers of various ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.
  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for individual and group coaching sessions.
  • Provide constructive feedback and positive encouragement to enhance junior golfers' skills and enjoyment of the game.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all participants.
  • Communicate effectively with junior golfers, parents/guardians, and The Ronny Golf Park staff regarding progress, program details, and any concerns.
  • Assist with the organization and execution of junior golf classes, camps, and special events at The Ronny Golf Park.
  • Monitor and maintain coaching equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in excellent condition.
  • Promote The Ronny Golf Park's programs and initiatives to attract new participants and retain existing ones.
  • Administer basic first aid if necessary and adhere to all safety protocols and park policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of The Ronny Golf Park and the Northern Texas PGA Foundation.

JOB SUMMARY

The Ronny Golf Park is seeking a passionate and experienced Junior Golf Coach to assist with golf instruction and programming at The Ronny Golf Park. This role fosters a love for golf among junior players of all skill levels while creating a fun, safe, and educational environment. Beyond coaching, this position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in junior golf instruction and program development, making it an excellent resume‑building opportunity for golf professionals looking to expand their expertise. Working alongside The Ronny team, you'll develop valuable industry connections, refine your coaching skills, and learn best practices in junior golf programming—all while playing a key role in developing young talent and growing the game of golf within the community.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE

This position is based at The Ronny Golf Park on the PGA Frisco campus. The work schedule will be flexible and include evenings and weekends, as required by programming needs. The coach will primarily work outdoors, instructing junior golfers in various weather conditions.

Experience Required
QUALIFICATIONS OF CANDIDATE
Required:
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching or teaching golf, particularly to junior audiences.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the golf facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.
  • Ability to lift and move golf equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to demonstrate golf swings and techniques.
  • Ability to speak publicly and clearly communicate instructions.

Knowedge of golf and a passion for working with juniors ages 3‑14. Background check will be required.
