AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Junior/Middle Computer Vision Engineer in Blacksburg, VA to support data preparation, model training, and evaluation for an AI team handling large-scale image and video datasets.

You will curate annotation workflows, run training and evaluation jobs, and collaborate with senior engineers on failure-case analysis, with a clear growth path into applied modeling or MLOps for early-career engineers.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work for any employer in the US (no visa sponsorship)
• 1–3 years in software engineering, data science, ML, or related field
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline
• US-based engineers must reside in Dallas, TX and be onsite
• Foundational Python coding skills
• Foundational ML concepts and workflows
• Basic knowledge of computer vision principles
• Basic familiarity with cloud environments
• Willingness to learn in a mentorship-driven environment
• Excellent attention to data quality and documentation

Responsibilities

• Curate large-scale image and video datasets and manage labeling workflows
• Run model training and evaluation jobs, ensuring smooth and efficient experiments
• Document training results and track model performance over time
• Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze failures and identify improvements
• Own foundational tasks supporting the AI/ML lifecycle and production deployments
