Job description

Job Title: Junior Merchandise Processor
Location: Framingham, MA
Duration: 5-month Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Pay Range: $19/Hr

Job Description:

The Merchandise Processor organizes, maintains, and executes the flow of merchandise samples across the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists with the processing of merchandise samples to include:
2. Opening packages for buyers
3. Packaging and shipping samples back to vendors
4. Assisting Merchandise Assistants with clean-up of flow
5. Moving samples to designated building location and/or conference room
6. Maintaining buyer sample closets
7. Organizing samples for special sample projects and/or product review meetings
8. Ensures proper handling of all merchandise samples
9. Manages the flow of FedEx, UPS, vendor and home office shipments
10. Communicates with charity organizations weekly on pickup details
11. Communicates and follows through with necessary departments and divisions at various levels
12. Assists in set up and removal of sample fixtures in department sample sections and conference rooms

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Works independently, and requires minimal supervision
3. Demonstrates flexibility and ability to adapt to an ever-changing and diverse environment
4. Developed verbal communication skills with the ability to assess and tailor communication style to all levels, personalities, and needs
5. Strong attention to detail; strong organizational and follow-through skills
6. Proven ability to multitask in a high-volume and fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
7. Prior shipping, stockroom, or warehouse stocking experience is a plus
8. May require heavy lifting (50+lbs)
