Job summary

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Mechanical/Piping Engineer. Reporting to the Project Delivery Group, you will support global offices from our Pittsburgh, PA location, developing knowledge in mechanical design, stress analysis and piping system fundamentals.

The role emphasizes hands-on collaboration in an in-office environment, with occasional remote work. Previous co-op or internship experience and a degree in mechanical engineering are valued in candidates.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduates with relevant skills and little or no professional experience.
• Preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge in mechanical design, stress analysis, and hydraulic system design.
• Perform Digital Project Delivery of Mechanical and Piping Engineering within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support site field visits to gather information and data for projects.
• Assist with piping system design, including hydraulic analysis, PFD and P&ID development.
• Interface with vendors and support client communications.
