Job summary

CACI International Inc. in Crane, IN seeks a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support NSWC Crane. You will assist with specs, design, mechanical calculations, outfitting design, drawings, SRD updates and related technical work.

Requirements include a ABET-accredited degree (BSME/BSCE/BSNA/ME), clear report writing, teamwork, and proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Up to 10% travel; US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Ability to write clear reports and specifications.
• Ability to interface with team members, technical leads and Project Managers.
• Experience with US Navy and/or US commercial ship design standards.
• Ability to write white and point papers with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services support including spec writing, design, mechanical calculations, outfitting design, marine drawing and SRD updates.
• Generate mechanical drawings for mechanical systems and outfitting.
• Draft detailed multi-view drawings of systems, machinery spaces and products.
• Create CAD models and machinery arrangements for installation and removal.
