Job summary

LSI, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer I to join our team. You will participate in full lifecycle product development, design components for production drawings, and create documentation for engineering changes.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering and can travel up to 50%. You will work with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM, coordinating with manufacturing and mentors to ensure safety and quality across projects, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Prior military aviation maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists in full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture, and implement).
  • Designs systems and components for production drawings.
  • Creates and evaluates conceptual designs.
  • Designs with consideration for safety codes, standards, and best practice.
  • Creates reports and product support documentation.
  • Creates Engineering Change documentation.
  • Troubleshoots and documents mechanical discrepancies on military land, air, and sea training systems.
  • Recommends engineering design changes for product and process improvement.
  • Participates in design reviews.
