Job summary

LSI, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead mid‑career product development and provide technical guidance across teams. The role focuses on creating production drawings, validating designs, and ensuring compliance with standards for military training systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with manufacturing, and drive engineering change processes while supporting ambitious program schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Five (5) years’ mechanical engineering experience.
  • Experience with LSI simulation program and projects or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists in full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture, and implement).
  • Designs systems and components for production drawings.
  • Creates and evaluates conceptual designs.
  • Creates reports and product support documentation.
  • Designs with consideration for safety codes, standards, and best practice.
  • Advises junior engineers on which to consider.
  • Prepares product reports and documentation.
  • Coordinates design reviews with manufacturing and other applicable disciplines.
  • Leads projects and mentors junior engineers and designers.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
