Job summary

MTN Engineering is looking for an early-career Mechanical Engineer who wants exposure to both engineering design and the real-world operation of building systems. You’ll work on mechanical and plumbing design, visit construction sites, participate in equipment startup and commissioning, and troubleshoot HVAC and control systems.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Located in Southern California and able to travel to project sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Organized and comfortable managing multiple assignments.
• Interest in HVAC, plumbing, controls and building systems.
• Willingness to work both in the office/home and in the field.
• Construction, HVAC, controls, Revit or commissioning experience is a plus, but not required.
• EIT certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

MTN Engineering is looking for an early-career Mechanical Engineer who wants exposure to both engineering design and the real-world operation of building systems.

This is not a desk-only engineering position. You’ll have the opportunity to work on mechanical and plumbing design, visit construction sites, participate in equipment startup and commissioning, troubleshoot HVAC and control systems, and see how the systems you help design actually perform in the field.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, organized, communicates well, and genuinely likes understanding how things work.

$65,000–$90,000 annualized compensation, depending on qualifications and experience. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
