Job summary

James Gray Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning and engineering projects from concept through construction for a leading MEP consultancy.

You will manage project scope, schedules and deliverables, coordinate with clients and design teams, and lead commissioning of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems on projects across the US with 25–50% travel. The role also involves site visits, testing, troubleshooting and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in MEP consulting, commissioning, or related engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with complex mechanical/building systems.
• Strong HVAC knowledge; plumbing/electrical experience beneficial.
• Project coordination or project management experience.
• Strong communication, analytical and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and with clients.

The Role

The company is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning and engineering projects from concept through construction.

The Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years' experience in MEP consulting, commissioning, or related engineering.

• Strong HVAC knowledge; plumbing/electrical experience beneficial.

• PE, CxA, CxP, BCxP, or LEED credentials are preferred.
