Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corp in Irvine, CA, seeks an entry‑level Mechanical Engineer to plan and design mechanically functioning equipment and processes. You will support engineers on simple to medium projects and review drawings from drafters/designers.

The role emphasizes design calculations, environmental control systems testing, and collaboration across the division. Eligible candidates should have a BSME, strong communication skills, and be able to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• BSME from accredited college.
• 0–3 years of experience in designing mechanical components/subsystems and applying ASME Y14.5M.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to present designs.
• Ability to interact with engineers, vendors and management, work independently or in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to create spreadsheets and presentations.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and mechanical design.
• Occasional overtime and travel; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assignments of mild complexity and assists other engineers.
• Designs mechanical equipment, systems and processes.
• Performs calculations and analyses to ensure design suitability.
• Solves problems related to assembly, repair and test of environmental control systems.
• May direct drafters/designers and collaborate across the division.
• Writes reports and presents designs to peers and customers.
