Selectek is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our clients’ team and support the design of custom replacement parts for industrial equipment including rotary dryers, kilns, and grinding mills. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys both CAD design and occasional travel to client sites for field evaluations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop replacement parts and assemblies for heavy industrial equipment such as rotary dryers, kilns, and grinder mills.
- Create detailed part layouts and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor (SolidWorks experience accepted).
- Visit client sites (approximately 25% travel) to inspect equipment, gather data, and ensure accurate part fit and function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and field service personnel.
- Perform engineering calculations, including static and dynamic analysis when required.
- Prepare clear, well-organized engineering reports and documentation.
- Utilize Excel for engineering data analysis and reporting.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and technical report writing.
Preferred:- Knowledge of statics, dynamics, and mechanical systems.
- Background in materials science and thermodynamics.
- Experience with heat transfer and mechanical design of steel components.
- Previous exposure to machine design and industrial equipment.
