Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Designer Engineer-in-Training in San Francisco, CA. You will work with guidance on tasks and smaller projects, supporting design of mechanical and plumbing systems under a senior engineer's direction.

You’ll perform basic Revit design, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and assist with data collection to inform design decisions. A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering is required with EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts.
• Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD and their use as drafting/design tools.
• Ability to collaborate in project teams and follow directions.
• Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical and plumbing components and systems under guidance.
• Interpret drawings and codes and other materials.
• Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.
• Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer.
• Assist with engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
• Collect data to support design decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
