Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Designer Engineer‑in‑Training in San Francisco, CA. You will work under guidance on tasks and smaller projects within a larger project team, assisting with design decisions and code compliance.

You will develop mechanical and plumbing components, perform basic calculations, and coordinate with related disciplines while gaining hands‑on experience under senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Engineer‑in‑Training certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD; drafting/design tool experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical and plumbing components and systems under supervision.
• Interpret drawings and codes; assist with project coordination.
• Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline.
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, electrical teams under senior guidance.
• Conduct field work as directed by senior staff.
• Perform basic calculations using standard software.
• Assist with data collection to support design decisions.
• Support engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
• Contribute to delivering quality engineering solutions.
