Job summary

Stantec's Los Angeles team is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Designer/Engineer-in-Training who will work with guidance on tasks and smaller projects as part of a larger project under the direction of a Senior Engineer, contributing to the evaluation, recommendation, and specification of mechanical and plumbing systems.

You will verify code compliance, perform basic calculations, support Revit design, collaborate with architecture, structural, and electrical teams, and assist with data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD; proficiency a plus.
• Proactive learner with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical and plumbing components and systems under guidance.
• Interpret drawings and codes for project applications.
• Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline.
• Coordinate with architecture, interior, structural, electrical disciplines under senior guidance.
• Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer.
• Perform basic calculations to design building mechanical components.
• Assist with engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
• Assist with data collection to support design decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
