Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks an Entry Level Mechanical Designer/Engineer-in-Training to work with guidance on tasks and small projects, under a senior engineer on larger projects.

You will evaluate, specify, and verify mechanical and plumbing systems for project applications while ensuring code compliance. Responsibilities include Revit design, coordination with multiple disciplines, and basic calculations using standard software.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas.
• Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD; proficiency a plus.
• Ability to collaborate in a project team and engage in creative thinking.
• Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, and building programs.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and receive feedback from seniors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical and plumbing components and systems under guidance.
• Interpret drawings, codes, and related materials; support design decisions.
• Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline using relevant software.
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, electrical teams under senior guidance.
• Assist with field work and gathering data for design decisions.
• Conduct basic calculations to analyze building mechanical components.
• Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
• Support data collection and information gathering for design decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
