Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer in Danbury, CT to produce tooling and flight hardware within an integrated product team. You will work autonomously with oversight and deliver milestones for space and non-space programs.

The role requires Creo and FEA skills, GD&T understanding, and the ability to drive designs from concept to completion while coordinating with multiple disciplines and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform FEA using ANSYS or Creo Simulation.
• Understanding of manufacturing and prototyping across materials.
• Ability to cost estimate from concept through completion.
• Drive projects with minimal oversight from initiation to finish.
• Adaptable to changing assignments as the team grows.
• Creo skills with good modeling practices and GD&T understanding.
• Proficient in coordinating with diverse engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design on multiple projects through all phases of product lifecycle.
• Create part models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs using Creo and PDMLink.
• Implement requirements and minimize costs.
• Work with manufacturing personnel to implement DFM into design work.
• Complete and conduct program communications such as status reports and reviews.
• Execute engineering design changes for parts and assemblies.
• Actively participate in project scheduling and budgeting.
• Validate concepts through models and prototypes.
• Coordinate with all engineering disciplines to deliver complete packages.
