Actalent in Savannah, GA is seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to grow in product and mechanical design, collaborating with experienced engineers. You will develop your skills in 3D CAD modeling, drawings, tolerances and manufacturability, with CATIA as the primary CAD and openness to SolidWorks or similar software.

Recent graduates or those with up to 2 years of hands-on experience in internships, capstone projects, Formula SAE, Baja SAE or robotics are encouraged.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Recent engineering graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Internship, co-op, capstone project, Formula SAE, Baja SAE, robotics or other hands-on engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX or similar.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Support product design, development, and engineering change activities.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to engineering solutions.
• Assist with tolerance analysis, material selection and manufacturability assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, supply chain and project management.
• Support prototyping, testing, validation and troubleshooting activities.
• Prepare engineering documentation, reports and technical presentations.
• Ensure designs meet performance, safety, quality and cost requirements.
