Job summary

RA Capital Management in Boston is seeking a Junior Associate for the Primary Market Research team. You will design and execute quantitative and qualitative studies, manage vendor relationships, and translate findings into actionable insights to inform investment decisions across portfolios.

The role emphasizes AI-forward practices, high-volume research workflows, and collaboration with investors, physicians, and researchers. Hybrid work in a downtown Boston office is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, public health, data analytics, or related field.
• Approximately 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare market research or related analytical role.
• Hands-on experience designing and executing primary market research studies.
• Strong scientific literacy and ability to interpret scientific/clinical information.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute quantitative and qualitative primary market research across therapeutic areas; develop surveys, screeners, guides, and study materials.
• Manage a high volume of quantitative surveys from objective alignment to data delivery and analysis.
• Conduct value & access and pricing-related research focusing on market access, payer dynamics, pricing sensitivity, and related considerations.
• Coordinate with external research vendors on scoping, timelines, fielding, issue resolution, and panel integrity.
• Analyze and synthesize findings into actionable insights and connect PMR with the broader Research team.
• Leverage and customize AI tools to improve survey design, data analysis, synthesis, and workflows.
