Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Manual Test Engineer to join a fast-paced mission software program. You will perform component, integration, and system level tests by executing test procedures, evaluating changes, and verifying defect fixes in development and operation environments.

The role requires basic SDLC knowledge, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to work with hardware in a lab. TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Statistics, or related field with 2+ years' relevant experience.
• Experience with SDLC and basic testing concepts (test cases, plans, defect tracking).
• Experience in software testing, system administration, and QA.
• Ability to log and retest defects using a bug-tracking tool (JIRA, Azure DevOps).
• Basic SQL or data verification skills and hardware/software integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform system testing of components and integration testing end-to-end.
• Document test results for corrective actions and audits.
• Develop test methodologies and subsystem interface tests.
• Create and implement test procedures and reports.
• Review test plans and define acceptance criteria.
• Develop and refine test data.
• Identify interface requirements for software components.
• Support software configuration management.
• Provide input for test procedures and documentation.
• Assist other teams with test-related tasks.
