Job summary

Hope House Treatment Center in Crownsville, MD, seeks a Junior Maintenance Technician to support exterior and interior maintenance tasks. This full-time role involves basic plumbing, lawn care, and basic repairs, working under the Facilities Supervisor to maintain a clean, organized facility.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to work orders, and assist with inspections while upholding the center's 24/7 care environment and dedication to sobriety and recovery.

Qualifications

• Basic plumbing knowledge and ability to shut off water mains.
• Experience with basic hardware tools and electrical equipment.
• Lawn care basics; operate a lawn mower, weed eater, leaf blower.
• Good communication ability.
• Willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility maintenance activities with the Facilities Supervisor.
• Perform basic maintenance and lawn care tasks.
• Identify facility problems and report repairs promptly.
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist with monthly inspections of equipment not requiring outside inspections.
• Record maintenance activities in the facility maintenance log and schedule regular maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
