H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician in Aliquippa, PA to support maintenance and reliability of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities.

You will work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Production team to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, hands-on training, and growth in an industrial manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Technical school, mechanical/electrical training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
  • Forklift experience or ability to become certified preferred.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform physical work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential problems before they result in breakdowns.
  • Lubricate, clean, adjust, and replace components as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment condition.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment issues.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and support Production in restoring equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
  • Assist senior maintenance personnel with more complex repairs and projects.
  • Replace worn or damaged components and perform basic fabrication and mechanical work as required.
  • Support Production with equipment adjustments, changeovers, and minor repairs.
  • Assist with installation, relocation, and commissioning of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform basic facility maintenance, including lighting, doors, plumbing, and other general repairs.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in an organized and serviceable condition.
  • Identify recurring equipment problems and communicate them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Support projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.
  • Learn and develop skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial maintenance.
  • Work closely with experienced maintenance personnel to progressively take on more complex responsibilities.

Job description

The Junior Maintenance Technician supports the maintenance and reliability of all plant equipment, machinery, and facilities. The position works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Production team to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete repairs safely and efficiently. The role is intended for a mechanically inclined individual who wants to develop their skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive & Routine Maintenance
    • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.

  • Equipment Repair & Troubleshooting
    • Assist with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment issues.

    • Assist senior maintenance personnel with more complex repairs and projects.

  • Production & Facility Support
    • Support Production with equipment adjustments, changeovers, and minor repairs.

    • Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in an organized and serviceable condition.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
    • Apply proper lockout/tagout procedures before performing maintenance work.
    • Ensure maintenance activities are performed safely and do not create hazards for employees or production.
    • Maintain good housekeeping in maintenance areas and around equipment.
  • Spare Parts & Maintenance Records
    • Maintain appropriate organization and control of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies.
    • Assist in identifying required spare parts and communicating replenishment needs.
    • Record completed maintenance work, repairs, and parts used in the maintenance system.
    • Support the development and improvement of preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement & Development
    • Identify recurring equipment problems and communicate them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Support projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.
    • Learn and develop skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial maintenance.
